goddaimn!! I just found a Shadowstone while mining around Westfall and Elwynn Forest! ^.^ Also, I got yet another sword to sell for later

Also, my character has completed it's first Elite quest and got better green pants :s that have way more armor than the earlier one

I have also shot a few graphical glitches, so when I'm on WoWGuru, you can have a laugh at a few common glitches >.>

I am considering purchasing WoW to play alongside Guild Wars. However, I have a few questions.

1] In an RP server, you can still quest and PvE normally, right?
2] What is the difference between a PvP and PvE server? Can you PvE in a PvP server? Vice-versa?
3] How often can you switch servers?
4] What is the new race for the Alliance in the upcoming expansion?

I'm trying to make up for GW's lack of immersion with RPing in WoW, a world I know quite a bit about. Any other comments or suggestions would be great.

Had WoW a month now, bought the strategy guide, and STILL haven't loaded it. Afraid it will suck up too much of my time. The last birdie still in the nest is a bit put out, because she wants to give it a try as well.

in order:

1 - Yes, and it ties into #2...RP is role play.
2 - Pvp means that you can be attacked by anyone at anytime on that kind of server. On a PvE server, you must either attack an opposing faction's npc, or type /pvp to toggle it on. From the on, unless you toggle it back off (which it then goes away after 5 minutes of you remaining in friendly areas) it will go on. Also if you assist someone who is pvp of your faction with a buff, etc, you might flag pvp and hoooooooo.
3 - The server switch is rather limited in scope to be honest, and they only allow it for certain realms during certain times.
4 - The Blood Elves are one of the 2 (the other hasn't been revealed yet, but i sure it is the Pandaren!)

Well I've got the ability to wield a Bastard Sword now! ...yes, that is the name of it!! and I'm using the one that has +4 strength bonus.

Been through this earlier in the thread. If you are referring to the guest-pass that came in your boxed copy, well, whoever utilizes that must install the game itself from your BOXED COPY. They cannot download the client and load that code. The same way for the emails blizzard sent out recently to the United States account holders about the 30 day friend invite, they must first install the game from your own boxed copy, or it wont work.

I learned this after offering my own code to someone on these forums, followed by the one from the email they sent out this last month.

Well I can safely say that after two weeks I am very much impressed. Sure I've only been playing with lowbie content, but the mobs and quests seem very well scaled. The game nudges you along when the stuff in your area isn't appropriate for your level anymore.

And as far as value goes... well, I get a LOT more entertainment out of my $15 a month than I would if I spent that $15 on going to the movies or anything like that.

Now if only my computer hadn't just exploded a few nights ago.

If you don't want to go for WoW try out a game called EVE Online. It's sci-fi space ship based, however, it's really in-depth and the attention to detail is awesome.

I wouldn't do justice by telling you myself, so you should google EVE Online if you're interested in another MMORPG.

I meant out at one time, duh. The fact of having those skills (especially being a hunter) is you have like 10+ you can/need to use in each battle.
Doing them all in time, in the right order... it's tricky.

In GW's you only have to worry about 8. In WoW you have the choice of more so I count it as more difficult. Skill really is needed when applying certain buffs, then spells and then attacks to all bounce off one another to bring down the beast.

As a Hunter I haven't actually got the full hang of it yet, no way. There's so much more I could do such as laying more traps, wing clipping then gaining range again etc.. not to mention I found out the other day that my dodge buff actually increases my chance of a warrior hitting me with a crit strike lol.

yes, I actually have to manage about 12+ skills, including weaponswap in the game, and I now know that you MUST NOT try areas with 'Boss' grades, or death is extremely overdue (My level 15 lost nearly all of his armor against a B24!

)

But at the moment I prefer this over GW until some agreement with the majority of ourselves gets sorted out. No pun intended.

(oh btw if any European has 3 silver, I will gladly need it to repair my items

Guild wars is easy to get into and Call of duty 2 has the best action ever.

You can lay traps? How strong are they?
